      The Position

      Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Operations Manager will be responsible for a team of direct labor employees focused on Safety, Quality, throughput, and culture of a work cell or cells.

      Key Accountabilities

      • Will oversee the Operations environment supporting Extant Aerospace?s manufacturing facility.
      • Support high mix, low volume electronics assembly and test facility
      • Lead team through successful development and execution of monthly plans to meet and exceed schedule, revenue, and cost requirements.
      • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, equipment, and subcontractors
      • Develop the stretch the team
      • Responsible for establishing optimum utilization of available resources through efficient manpower management
      • Utilize statistical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in processes
      • Implementing open communication and continuous improvement
      • Improving standards and processes in all phases of the operations cycle??????????????
      • Support the development of new methods, processes, and equipment and apply them to the manufacturing operation for productivity gains

      Minimum Education/Experience

      • Bachelor?s Degree, plus a minimum of 5 years direct industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
      • Strong analytical skills required e.g., demonstrated ability to take data from varying sources, analyse, interpret, and use to make business decisions
      • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
