Grand Prairie, TX
PPG Aerospace has an amazing career opportunity for an Operations Manager at our Grand Prairie, TX location. As an Operations Manager, you will lead a team in the daily performance of their jobs as a true first-level manager. You will ensure that project and department landmarks and goals are met and following approved budgets. You will report to the Transparencies Global Platform Director.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the operations of all production areas to ensure that volume targets and customer expectations are met, costs are kept within budget, and quality standards are achieved.
• Manage all operational elements for typical business revenues more than $100MM at the larger ASC sites.
• Manage the additional production of specific items as defined by the Center of Excellence (COE) model within the North American ASC network. These products are sold through other sites but produced at the COE ASC locations.
• Plan and establish work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to improve efficiency. A typical FTE headcount within ASC Operations is greater than 50.
• Responsible for capital budget and projects to guide efficiency and cost improvements.
• Provide production process analysis and make recommendations on solutions to process improvements.
• Work with corporate, SBU, and other site resources, along with external contract organizations, to implement best practices to improve quality and process efficiency.
• Responsible for the deployment of resources and the continuing development of skills.
• Key contributor to the engagement of the entire site team.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Requires 8-10 years of proven experience within Operations.
• Knowledge of lean practices is required.
• Previous supervisor experience is required.
• Knowledge of department processes, packaging methods, and MRP systems.
• Familiar with quality standards, AS-9100 system requirements, and product specifications.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
