      Pay Rate: £43,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
      Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) 37.5 hours per week
      Shift patterns: Monday - Friday 9.00-17.00 Flexibility required as may be times will be required to cover nightshift / weekend shift due to operation being 24/7
      Location: Hatfield - AL10 9BD

      DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Operations Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily transportation and logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures.

      WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

      • To take an operational leadership and budget responsibility to manage a safe and efficient operation
      • To manage the shipments from warehouse to end-use, planning and scheduling routes as required
      • Track and trace orders using functional systems such as an In-house tracking software
      • Monitor and report on transportation costs, ensuring cost-effective shipping methods are a priority consideration
      • Monitor, oversee and report maintenance and repair schedules for all vehicles and relatable equipment
      • Keep organised records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders, ensuring shipping documents are properly filed and logged.
      • Ensure all safety records, compliance and regulations are up-to-date and in line with company policies and legislation, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices

      WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

      • Previous and demonstrative experience as an Operations Manager, within a Transport environment
      • O Licence holder - Desirable
      • CPC National /International holder - Desirable
      • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management
      • Understanding and practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
      • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to manage, organise and train direct reports
      • A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received
