Job Description

- To take an operational leadership and budget responsibility to manage a safe and efficient operation
- To manage the shipments from warehouse to end-use, planning and scheduling routes as required
- Track and trace orders using functional systems such as an In-house tracking software
- Monitor and report on transportation costs, ensuring cost-effective shipping methods are a priority consideration
- Monitor, oversee and report maintenance and repair schedules for all vehicles and relatable equipment
- Keep organised records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders, ensuring shipping documents are properly filed and logged.
- Ensure all safety records, compliance and regulations are up-to-date and in line with company policies and legislation, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices
- Previous and demonstrative experience as an Operations Manager, within a Transport environment
- O Licence holder - Desirable
- CPC National /International holder - Desirable
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management
- Understanding and practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage, organise and train direct reports
- A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received

Pay Rate: £43,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) 37.5 hours per week
Shift patterns: Monday - Friday 9.00-17.00 Flexibility required as may be times will be required to cover nightshift / weekend shift due to operation being 24/7
