      Ferguson is now hiring an Operations Manager to lead business operations based out of our Meridian, Idaho location! This position covers a territory encompassing Southern Idaho, including Boise, Twin Falls and Idaho Falls as well as Kalispell & Billings, Montana and will require traveling to different locations throughout the month and occasional overnight travel.       Business Accountabilities and Operational Management:

      • This role reports directly to the General Manager of Idaho Waterworks Business Unit.

      • Has direct or indirect responsibility for the formal supervision of at least three (3) associates.

      • Supports enterprise business and sales objectives through effective and efficient management

      • Act as a strategic partner on the leadership team and liaison among different departments to improve operation results

      Responsibilities:

      • Implement and maintain company policies for the Waterworks business unit you support.

      • Implements operational efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design, and customer satisfaction.

      • Manage the internal audit process to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

      • Identify and implement process improvements based on experience and findings.

      • Develop and recommend specific courses of action based on analysis of data to ensure we are striving toward proper data driven decisions.

      • Maintain the safety and security of the Branch in accordance with OSHA standards and enforce all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by the organization.

      • Support the development of branch managers, as well as other operations managers, through coaching and mentoring opportunities.

      • Lead associates, implement processes, and policies to profitably, maintain and grow market share, sustain customer loyalty, and provide opportunities for growth.

      • Identify new opportunities for cost savings.

      • Facilitate and develop SOPs for the business unit.

      • Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies, and guidelines to the management team.

      • Conduct regular associate and branch leadership meetings to ensure we are fostering a change champion culture.

      • Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed.

      • Grow market operationally through facility additions, changes, and HR moves to promote growth.

      • Facility management and approval of maintenance needs or changes for business and market needs.

      • Business Process Review to manage locations to meet company goals in accordance to process and inventory requirements.

      • Advise and support business unit, district, waterworks division and company initiatives.

      Qualifications:

      • 3-5 years management / leadership experience coupled with handling inventory and operational tasks.

      • Able to provide expert advice, coaching and counseling.

      • Advanced ability to organize and prioritize work.

      • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups at multiple levels of the organization (associates, branch leaders, GMs, etc).

      • Proven ability to lead and motivate individuals and teams.

      • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).

      • Ability to interact cordially and professionally with others at all levels of the organization.

      • Ability to effectively use Ferguson's inventory and logistics system (Trilogie).

      • Ability to multi-task and effectively lead through stressful situations.

      Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
