      OrthoVirginia, Virginia's largest provider of expert orthopedic and therapy care, is currently seeking a full-time, experienced Operations Manager to join our team!       Position Summary

      The Operations Manager plans, organizes, and directs the operations of our dynamically growing offices in the West Region including: Lynchburg, Forest, Farmville, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Bluefield, and Wytheville. The ideal candidate understands the operational and financial objectives of OrthoVirginia and works proactively with the team to accomplish stated business objectives. Leads, mentors, and develops staff to ensure excellent performance and teamwork.

      Primary Functions & Accountabilities

      • Oversees the operations of the Lynchburg, Forest, Farmville, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Bluefield, and Wytheville offices.
      • Ensures patient satisfaction. Manages complex customer relations matters and ensures patient-centric resolution. Reports on patient satisfaction levels to the organization.
      • Establishes standardized processes to reduce variation and cost of doing business.
      • Collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other stakeholders to develop policies and procedures in support of best practices.
      • Contributes to a fiscally sound organization:
      • Supervises, develops, and motivates staff; ensures that staff receives ongoing training and support to function effectively and efficiently in their roles.
      • Evaluates and makes decisions on performance problems and employee relations matters, fostering an environment of accountability.
      • Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to team members as appropriate.
      • Collaborates with Regional Executive Director, Director of Clinical Services, and Human Resources to achieve goals and objectives.
      • Regularly communicates operations performance through reports and presentations.
      • Ensure regional compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, governmental regulations, and professional standards of care.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned.
        • Develops and oversees performance of the operations budget
        • Collaborates with managers to achieve financial results that are acceptable to the Shareholders
        • Researches and implements revenue enhancement and cost savings opportunities
        • Monitors and communicates key performance metrics
        • Review and approve new positions and pay adjustments in response to market conditions or internal equity concerns.
        • Implement programs/activities to enhance employee satisfaction

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

      • 3-5 years varied and progressive management experience, preferably in a health care environment with at least one year in health care administration with increasing level of administrative responsibility
      • Experience in staffing, operations, and finance
      • Demonstrate effective communication, consultation, negotiation, and collaboration skills with members of the team and other stakeholders.
      • Proven leadership skills with the ability to tailor leadership and management style in a variety of situations.
      • Use effective conflict resolution techniques.
      • Exhibit professional, interpersonal, and communication skills.
      • Pursue professional growth and participate in a professional organization.
      • Demonstrate knowledge of project management principals.
      • Assess and respond appropriately to organizational culture.
      • Maintain privacy of all appropriate information.
      • Possess and provide good customer service skills.
      • Computer Skills including Microsoft® PowerPoint, Word, Excel

      Position Requirements

      • Requires BA/BS Degree in business, health administration, finance, and accounting or related field
      • MBA or MHA preferred
