Being responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility
Managing and coordinating all manufacturing operations, including support functions of process engineering and plant engineering
Being responsible for high standards of safety within manufacturing operations, and driving safety improvements
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Developing and implementing strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality
Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
Leading, mentoring and developing a team of supervisors and production staff
Collaborating with other departments, such as environment, health & safety, supply chain, and quality assurance, to achieve company goals
Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and reports related to manufacturing operations
Promoting Operational Excellence across the full production team
Supporting the site leadership team as a senior member of the Plant Leadership Team, including deputising for the Plant Manager
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (eg. Engineering) or equivalent
Strong leader with a proven track record in manufacturing management, process improvement, and team development
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools
Fluent in English both verbal and written
Experience with ERP Process (preferably SAP) within a manufacturing environment
Experience in the abrasive manufacturing industry or similar
Fluent in Swedish both verbal and written is preferred
Working pattern - Full-time
Work location - The role will be 100% based on site at the 3M Västervik plant in Sweden
Travel expectations - May include infrequent travel to collaborate & network with suppliers & other 3M facilities to advance the site and support personal development
