      As our operation manager you will be responsible for our Terminal in Moerdijk. This role encompasses dynamic people management, operational productivity enhancement, safety enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

      Stolthaven Terminals’ mission is to be the most respected global storage provider, delivering safe, high-quality storage and handling solutions for a variety of speciality bulk liquids, such as chemicals, clean petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gases, biofuels, vegetable oils, alternative fuels and feedstocks. With 5 million cbm of storage, we give customers access to key international shipping and transportation hubs close to their operations. Our services complement the capabilities of Stolt Tankers and Stolt Tank Containers, creating an efficient and flexible ship-to-shore solution

      What you will be doing

      The Operations Manager holds a critical leadership role in the operational part of the Terminal, driving operational excellence, safety compliance, and overall efficiency within the terminal environment. The operations manager will lead a team of professionals, ensuring that all terminal operations are executed seamlessly, adhering to rigorous safety standards, and aligning with the company's commitment to excellence. The Operations Manager is expected to contribute to the development of the Terminal e.g in optimizing the operational efficiency of the Terminal as well as cooperating in new build opportunities

      Key Responsibilities

      • Develop and implement strategies to optimize terminal operations, streamline processes, and improve productivity across various functions.
      • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational efficiency and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
      • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of terminal personnel, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and high performance.
        Set clear performance goals for team members, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
      • Prioritize and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, procedures, industry regulations, and environmental standards.
        Execute and oversee emergency response plans, safety training programs, and incident reporting procedures/investigations.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor or master’s degree.
      • Demonstrated experience (5 + years) in chemical terminal operations or a comparable role, with a track record of effective people management.
      • Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and directing teams toward operational excellence.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas and directions.
      • Knowledge of operational processes
      • Project management experience
      • People skills/ change attitude
        Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, make informed decisions, and drive improvements.
