      Kemira Germany GmbH has 2 production sites in Germany (Dormagen and Rheinberg). As part of succession planning, we are currently looking for an Operations/ Plant Manager for our Dormagen manufacturing site reporting to the Manager, Coagulant Manufacturing, Germany, I&W. The primary focus of this senior role is to provide leadership to the site management team and ensure safe and efficient operations of the manufacturing activities at the site.

      In this role you will be responsible for:

      • Site manufacturing activities, including EHSQ, Planning, Engineering and Maintenance
      • Critical success factors are: Safe and Environmentally responsible operations, change management, driving continuous operational improvements, create and implement initiatives to meet current and future safety, regulatory, environmental, quality and productivity targets and creating a culture of employee engagement and delivering results
      • Building solid working relationships with all other functions to achieve desired results through collaboration where we succeed together
      • The Dormagen site is a high incident risk site and you will co-ordinate the community interaction and participate in the out of hours call out rota for the off-site Emergency Plan

      What you’ll bring to the team:

      • At least a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or relevant technical subject area
      • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop people
      • Strong manufacturing experience, gained in the Chemical or Process Industries
      • Process safety leadership knowledge
      • High level of business acumen, analytical skills with application of LEAN tools
      • Good communication skills in German and English with the ability to motivate and influence others
