      Position: Operations Team Lead

      Team Leader has the important role of main escalation point to solve operational issues and provide support for internal and external teams.

      PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

      • Freight Coverage Every Day (Exceed customer on-time pick-up and delivery expectations; proactive planning to prevent service failures)
      • Customer Relationship (Consistent and professional communications; effective, prompt and courteous communications with respect to difficult situations, relaying service failures, etc.)
      • Carrier Relationship (Productive carrier relationship development, handling and management of difficult situations, etc.)

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

      • You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient management.
      • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes.
      • Main escalation point to solve operational issues.
      • Leverages knowledge and understanding of Modes, Rates, Weights, Volumes, Pallets, Class etc. based on Customer's shipping requirements
      • Data Analysis:
        • Daily Audit of TMS to ensure all operation is working rightly.
        • Attend meetings with customers and carriers.
      • Support planners in all operational issues such as lack of freight capacity, Customer Claims.
      • Carrier Relationship Management
        • Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers contracted to the dedicated fleet as well as other carriers operating in your geographical region
      • Customer Relationship Management
      • Working Knowledge and Utilization of the Transplace TMS

      SKILLS:

      • Strong analytical skills to identify and solve issues.
      • Demonstrated ability to lead and train employees
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with Customer, Carriers and Partners.
      • Fluent in both English and Spanish
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a sense of urgency

      TRAVEL:

      • This job will not require travel

      EXPERIENCE:

      • 2 – 5 Years as Supervisor or Leading Teams experience within the Transportation or Logistics Industry
      • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management along with demonstrated customer service mindset may be substituted for work experience requirements

      EDUCATION:

      • High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent
