      SUMMARY:

      • Operates the Olefins facility to convert propane feedstock into ethylene to provide conforming feedstock for the manufacture of vinyl chloride monomer. Operates equipment for the separation, purification, storage and shipping of co-products (fuel gas, propylene, mixed C4 hydrocarbons, aromatic gasoline, fuel oil and steam).

      PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Monitors equipment and makes adjustments as necessary to control the production process.
      • Monitors and reacts to all process analyzers and control instruments.
      • Maintains maximum plant feed rate as scheduled and allowed by process conditions.
      • Calculates production report.
      • Maintains radio communications with outside operators.
      • Maintains communications with other operating units.
      • Samples and analyzes steam system.
      • Monitors system per benzene regulations.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      • 4 year college degree
