What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Organize and lead outdoor activities such as nature hikes, conservation projects, and educational programs in various subjects
- Supervise students during living activities and maintain discipline and safety standards
- Maintain equipment and learning areas, ensuring they are clean and orderly
- Administer emergency first aid as needed
- Operate various technology and related equipment to enhance learning experiences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to work flexible hours, as daily hours may vary
- Completion of a post-offer background check and physical exam, including drug screening
- Strong commitment to fostering an equitable and respectful environment
- Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting
- Knowledge of outdoor education subjects such as biology, ecology, and conservation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience as an Outdoor Education Specialist or similar role
- Familiarity with technology used in outdoor education settings
- Ability to lead educational programs in a variety of outdoor subjects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for environmental education and conservation
