      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review medical record documentation to assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT-4 codes for outpatient encounters
      - Ensure proper coding, billing, and compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies
      - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain accurate medical records
      - Conduct coding reviews to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy
      - Stay updated on coding regulations and modifications to maintain compliance

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Graduate of an accredited Medical Record Technology or Administration Program or completion of advanced coding classes in ICD-10-CM and CPT-4
      - Hospital coding experience required
      - Minimum of one year of inpatient or outpatient surgery coding experience within the prior three years in an acute care facility or ambulatory surgery center
      - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines
      - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Credentials such as Certified Coding Specialist, Certified Coding Associate, Registered Health Information Administrator, or Registered Health Information Technician
      - Experience with electronic medical records systems
      - Additional coding certifications beyond the basic requirements
      - Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations
      - Previous experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
