- Proactively initiate, contact, manage and develop leads on a local basis.
- Achieve personal sales quotas.
- Identify specific needs of customers and align solutions with NAPA’s offerings.
- Keep apprised of new product introductions and opportunities for current and future sales.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current sales promotions and ability to process consumer rebates and customer registrations.
- Demonstrate ability to sell product features and benefits.
- Develop long-term relationships with customers.
- Participation in programs and events
- Report to management on customer relationships, pipeline, forecasts and new prospects
- Provide strong customer service including solving customer problems, complaints and questions in person or by telephone.
- Handle difficult customers and problems in a complimentary manner.
- Report any problems immediately to management.
- Demonstrate a pleasant and helpful personality.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Be professional at all times.
- Adhere to NAPA appearance and dress standards.
- Complete all job prerequisite training.
- Schedule training and complete all on-the-job training activities.

- Able to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
- Excellent at prospecting and cold calling skills while maintaining current customers and business needs.
- Have a well‑groomed, neat appearance, complying with NAPA policies on conduct and dress.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills in a professional manner.
- Must be willing to attend sales meetings supporting a team environment while striving to be the 'top performer' and driving business to the store.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with no DWI convictions within the past four years and not have over three moving violations or two at-fault accidents in the last three years.
- Must possess a willingness and ability to learn with great problem solving skills.
- Must be willing to assist in collecting past-due accounts if needed.
- Must be able to perform in a quota driven environment.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Positive, enthusiastic role model who has personal drive.
- Able to work retail hours and at any store location as assigned by management.
- Capable of operating computer systems and accessing on-line catalogs.
- Visually capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers and remembering their sequencing.
- Able to speak clearly and listen attentively.
- Able to work on feet (stand and walk) for up to an hour at a time.

Mid South Auto Supply is a locally owned and operated group of NAPA stores in Northeast Mississippi with locations in Baldwyn, Booneville, Columbus, Corinth, New Albany, and Tupelo. We are a distributor of all things automotive including auto parts, over the road truck parts, farm, and agricultural parts as well as automotive paint. Job Description
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for promoting the entire NAPA line of products and programs in addition to selling the store’s services in an effort to increase sales as well as increase market penetration through new and existing accounts. Represents primary communication link between assigned accounts and the store. Should fully implement and support NAPA and store initiated programs and follow store policies and procedures. This local sales position has responsibility for calling on and supporting new and existing customers for the store.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:Some secondary yet essential functions of the position include the ability to effectively understand and communicate NAPA product information, performance standards, warranties, sales programs, and company policies. Responsible for daily paperwork and forms generated in a timely manner. Must be able to conduct educational seminars, clinics and presentations on NAPA product lines and services. Capable of collecting past due accounts as needed.
