Join a high-performing sales team where you'll take ownership of a defined higher-education territory and play a pivotal role in connecting faculty and institutions with cutting-edge textbook and digital content solutions. This role combines relationship building, strategic consultative selling, and travel across campuses and academic events. You'll be the driving force behind both maintaining long-term client satisfaction and expanding business through new opportunities. Ideal for a proactive, self-motivated professional who thrives on autonomy and values higher education.

      Accountabilities:
      • Build and manage relationships across a portfolio of colleges and universities, tailoring solutions to their specific academic needs.
      • Promote affordable and inclusive access programs, leading the transition from print to digital content.
      • Strategically plan and attend virtual and in-person meetings with faculty, bookstore managers, and administrators to pitch textbook offerings and digital access models.
      • Identify sales opportunities using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and data analysis to grow territory performance.
      • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets while contributing to broader divisional revenue objectives.
      • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide detailed activity reports to sales management.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing, editorial, and operational strategies.
      • Represent the brand at regional and national conferences related to higher education and bookstores.
      • Travel approximately 70% of the time for campus visits, events, and team meetings.

      Requirements
      • 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in higher education, publishing, or edtech.
      • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets while managing a defined territory.
      • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across virtual and in-person formats.
      • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently while reporting results proactively.
      • Commercial acumen and the ability to consultatively recommend tailored solutions.
      • Proficiency in Salesforce (intermediate level) and Excel; strong command of Microsoft Office.
      • Passion for education and learning, with the adaptability to stay ahead of industry trends.
      • Willingness to travel regularly by car and plane within the assigned territory.

      Benefits
      • Annual base salary of $75,000-$80,000 plus bonus (25% OTE, with potential to exceed up to 100%).
      • 15 paid vacation days, 10 sick days, 2 floating holidays, and your birthday off.
      • 3 additional discretionary days for the holiday season.
      • Up to 4 weeks of paid parental leave.
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and health benefits.
      • 401(k) plan with employer match.
      • 4 paid volunteer days annually.
      • Flexible work schedule and full remote work setup within the territory.
      • Ongoing training and career development opportunities.
      • Inclusion in seasonal social events and charitable initiatives.
