What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer calls and text/chat messages on the crisis line, providing immediate support to individuals in crisis
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of callers
- Monitor and document crisis calls effectively using programmatic systems
- Collaborate with Crisis Response Services across eight districts in Maine
- Participate in training to achieve certification in mental health rehabilitation techniques

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate Degree required
- Minimum of one year of crisis or mental health-related experience preferred
- Ability to earn the MHRT-CSP certification within 30 days of employment
- Strong oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and manage multiple parties during crisis calls
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and child protective service check

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with complex information in challenging situations
- Familiarity with DSM-V information
- Flexibility with scheduling to accommodate overnight shifts
- Willingness to learn and understand documentation software and resource applications
