      Job summary

      We are seeking a part time (0.5wte) Service Lead for Paediatric Dietetics, Band 8A, based in the paediatric dietetic team hub in Carmarthen. You will lead and manage the paediatric dietetic service Health Board wide, and inform and influence future care of children and young people by working as part of the multi-professional paediatric leadership team.

      The post holder will clinically lead in an area of practice to be agreed with the successful applicant, use improvement methodology to support service development and work as part of the dietetic senior leadership team to ensure delivery of a well governed, high quality nutrition and dietetic service.

      Main duties of the job

      Strategically lead development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of paediatric dietetic services Health Board wide.

      Work as an integral member of the paediatric multi-disciplinary senior leadership team, driving multi-professional prudent approaches,partnership working and evidence-based practice.

      Act as an expert paediatric dietetic clinician; managing a complex clinical caseload, leading Health Board wide evidence-basedpaediatric management, informing and leading planning, policy development, training and education, driving quality improvement,aligning services to National, Health Board and Professional strategy and guidance.

      Lead the dietetic paediatric dietetic service, including line management and team leadership duties, ensuring there is an effectiveleadership and governance structure.

      • Knowledge of, and ability to apply evidence-based methodology to support engagement, improvement, and service planning.
