  Job Title: Paint Maintenance Assistant Manager
  Location: Ellabell, GA (Onsite)
  Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  Position Summary:
  We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Paint Maintenance Assistant Manager to oversee maintenance operations in the Paint Shop at our automotive manufacturing facility. This role involves coordinating daily technical activities, monitoring performance, and driving improvements to ensure departmental goals are met.
  Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support technical processes related to Paint Shop maintenance to align with company objectives.
  • Track and report the status of assigned tasks throughout each phase of execution.
  • Develop and implement detailed action plans to improve shop-level maintenance metrics (e.g., downtime, PM plans, equipment monitoring, improvements, safety, and environmental compliance).
  • Create and execute comprehensive training plans to elevate team skill levels across sections.
  • Prepare and manage annual operation plans; report regularly on progress and outcomes.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in fostering a collaborative team culture through meetings, events, and interdepartmental coordination.
  • Analyze Paint Shop downtime and develop corrective improvement plans.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on shift rotations and be available to address urgent equipment issues, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory control, and distribution of maintenance materials (tools, consumables, etc.).
  • Analyze and track the maintenance budget for the Paint Shop.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership to manage conflicts and support team well-being.
  • Act as a mentor, promoting continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance within automated manufacturing environments.
  • 2+ years of specific experience in Paint Shop maintenance in the automotive industry.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams of 15 or more members.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and control circuits.
  • Hands-on experience installing equipment, including design reviews, documentation, inspection, and testing of new or modified systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Certified in mechanical or electrical disciplines (strongly preferred).
