Job Description
- Req#: PAINT001892
- Knowledge of paint mixtures, spray guns and application systems
- Respond to equipment failures and troubleshoot solutions
- Operate within standard operating procedures and job safety analysis
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations of the company, local and federal government rules, guidelines and requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members
- Attend daily department safety meetings
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Ability to rebuild paint pumps and equipment
- Good working knowledge of paint equipment
- Responsible for proper containment of chemicals used in coatings and applications
- Insure paint mixture is within specifications
- OSHA Hazard Communication Program as required
- Respiratory Protection Program annually
- Personal Protective Equipment Program annually
- Hazardous Waste Satellite Accumulation collection annually
- Spill Control and Countermeasures annually
- DOT Hazardous Materials every 2 years
- Notify Cell Leaders when issues arise
- Ability to set up an off-line paint system such as hot pots
- High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Must Pass Blue Bird Painting Evaluation
- Must pass drug screen, physical, and criminal background check
- Must pass Medical Respiratory Evaluation
- Must complete, OSHA Hazard Communication Program, Hazardous Waste Satellite Program, Spill Control and Countermeasures, and DOT Hazardous Materials Handling Course
- Work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, fumes and vapors and sharp edges
- Fast-paced environment with moving objects, sheet metal, and congested working areas
- Will be pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead, grasping, and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift
- Must Meet Established Quality & Production Standards
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must meet established attendance policy and work overtime when required
- Must perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor when required
