What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide paralegal support to the assigned unit within OLA
- Analyze case fact patterns to identify legal issues and develop legal strategy
- Draft administrative hearings pleadings and motions
- Assist in resolving cases through reconsideration or settlement
- Conduct legal research and analysis
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Four years of experience as a Paralegal 1 in state service
- Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong time management skills
- Knowledge of the Administrative Procedures Act and rules of evidence in WA State
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Ability to use Microsoft applications to analyze data and build accurate charts
- Knowledge of Medicaid law and policies
