What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist attorneys with fact investigation, legal research, and document preparation
- Manage databases and oversee case management tasks
- Focus on California asbestos practice, including discovery and trial preparation
- Mentor Paralegal Assistants and supervise related tasks
- Meet a billable hour requirement of 1500 hours per year
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Asbestos/Toxic Tort litigation experience is mandatory
- Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor's degree in a law-related field, or Associate's degree with paralegal training
- Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a professional demeanor
- High level of professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in litigation support and managing document production databases
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Familiarity with California asbestos litigation practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under deadlines
