What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct legal research on life insurance laws, regulations, and industry standards as they relate to technology platforms
- Review, draft, and assist in negotiating technology licensing agreements and related documents
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance of life insurance technology systems with legal standards
- Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, including data privacy and cybersecurity
- Maintain organized records for contracts, compliance documents, and other legal files related to technology agreements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification from an accredited program
- Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience, with at least 2 years in enterprise technology or a related field
- Proficiency in Google Work Suite and legal management software
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex legal and technical concepts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of life insurance products, processes, technology, and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Understanding of legal principles related to insurance law, privacy regulations, contracts, and technology compliance
- Familiarity with life insurance technology platforms such as policy administration systems and claims management software
