Job Description
- Req#: R-14620
- Create, prepare, review, proof, edit and manage more complex documents, including contracts, corporate records, correspondence, reports and presentations
- Research and analyze complex issues in a wide variety of subject areas of health care law affecting Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) companies, customers and pharmacies; find resolution for escalated issues
- Draft and negotiate contracts and related legal documents
- Represent Prime's legal department to internal and/or external groups on projects or contracts by leading or participating in various meetings
- Create legal department efficiencies through process improvements for paralegal services
- Manage regulatory submissions, filings, renewals, notifications, and periodic reports related to licensed functions (e.g., Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM), Third Party Administrator (TPA), Utilization Review (UR), business and state registrations)
- Research and respond to regulatory inquiries
- Other duties as assigned
- Paralegal Certificate and/or Associates degree in Paralegal Studies or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma from an accredited school or GED required
- 5 years of experience working as a Legal Assistant or equivalent combined experience within Legal and Compliance functions
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain appropriate prioritization and productivity while working under deadlines
- Ability to analyze, synthesize and manage complex information
- Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to influence Prime staff on legal and business issues
- Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access
- 3 years experience as a Legal Assistant / Paralegal for a PBM, healthcare company or law firm advising a healthcare company
