What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with US school district vendor assessment questionnaires
- Support the evaluation and implementation of Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) for US school districts
- Draft and review US commercial contracts and agreements
- Conduct US legal research related to student data privacy laws and regulations
- Manage Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for the Foundation's US operations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Demonstrable experience working in a legal setting, particularly related to US data security and privacy compliance
- Understanding of US student data privacy requirements (e.g., FERPA, COPPA) and vendor assessment processes
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience using legal/compliance platforms is desirable
- Ability to provide commercially sound legal advice aligned with the organization’s objectives
