Job Summary: Assists assigned teacher(s) in classroom instruction and activities as assigned. Assists teacher(s) in maintaining a classroom environment conducive to learning. Assists in meeting individual student educational needs.
Minimum Qualifications: Meet one of the following requirements:
1. Hold an associate’s degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
2. Have completed two (2) years of college coursework (sixty [60] semester hours) above the remedial level with a grade of “C” or better at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
3. Have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Reports to: Principal or his/her designee

Complete applications must contain a current resume, copies of transcripts of all college credit, or copy of high school diploma or GED, and 3 complete reference evaluation forms (available in the online application) to be considered. Upon hire, any transcripts needed for certification are to be emailed to dbrown@cartersvilleschools.org
