Job Description
Schedule: 20 hours per week (Flexible, Eastern Time for meetings)
Key Skills and Experience:
• Looking for a Marketing Content Writer and/or Copy Editor (not Technical Writing)
• Strong writing and content creation skills
• Familiarity with style guides
• Copy editing
• Marketing communications
• Social media content creation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in B2B and medical device sectors preferred
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with leadership and full-time writers to produce and edit content following an established style guide.
• Write and edit copy for various formats: marketing collateral, print ads, digital banners, SEO web content, blog posts, bylines, and tradeshow materials.
• Create on-brand, compelling, educational, and persuasive content to raise awareness about the company and its products.
• Work with internal departments and agencies to produce clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy for print, digital, and multimedia projects.
• Develop strategic social media content that reflects the company's voice and brand, driving engagement.
• Ensure content is accurate, error-free, and maintains a consistent voice and style.
• Understand and execute all brand guidelines.
• Adapt creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts.
• Edit marketing materials to ensure accuracy and branding consistency.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Attend creative briefs and kick-off meetings during Eastern Time business hours.
• Flexibly schedule workload.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred (or 4 years of relevant experience).
• 3+ years of experience in Marketing Communications.
• Extensive writing and copy editing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of marketing, preferably in Invitro Diagnostics or Science.
• Experience with medical and/or regulated products preferred.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
• Ability to adapt to rapid changes within a regulated process.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.
• Up-to-date with emerging social media and digital content trends.
• Positive attitude towards making multiple edits and updates.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues.About the company
