What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in the development, design, and execution of research projects under the guidance of senior personnel
- Conduct experiments/tests in the laboratory and field to test and modify theoretical propositions
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data, reporting findings to the Principal Investigator (PI)
- Support research projects by gathering and interpreting information on laws, policies, and industry standards
- Adhere to established protocols and research plans throughout all tasks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Enrollment as a student at Penn State or previous employment with the university
- Ability to work part-time during the academic year
- Strong analytical skills for data collection and analysis
- Basic understanding of research methodologies and protocols
- Effective communication skills for reporting research findings
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting or participation in research projects
- Familiarity with data analysis software or tools
- Interest in biological sciences or a related field of study
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
