What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct data collection on the combustion of solid fuels in an opposed flow burner
- Modify an opposed flow burner for variable pressure operation
- Adjust an opposed flow burner for oscillating air flows
- Collaborate with faculty and researchers on project objectives
- Assist in documenting research findings and methodologies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- US Citizenship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills for reporting research results

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous research experience in combustion or related fields
- Familiarity with experimental design and data analysis techniques
- Knowledge of engineering software tools relevant to mechanical engineering research
