      Position Title: Team Specialist, Ambassador Team

      Department : Sales & Marketing

      Classification : Non-Exempt/Part-time

      Direct Report: Manager, Ambassador Team

      Position Summary:

      Team Specialist of the ambassador team is responsible for approaching guests for the sale or up-sale of Aquarium offerings including annual passes, combination tickets and guest programs. The specialist must be thoroughly familiar with the department policies and procedures, as well as being knowledgeable of the Aquarium facility and programs. This position is responsible for representing the Aquarium and must be able to complete face-to-face sales, answer a wide range of questions quickly and competently, problem-solve guest issues. This position requires very intensive guest contact in a fast-paced environment.

      Responsibilities :

      1. Actively approach Aquarium guests to engage them in conversation to offer the appropriate product and/or program for their needs
      2. Achieve sales goals
      3. Process transactions and take payments
      4. Accurately complete paperwork and data collection for new and renewing members
      5. Follow sales processing procedures
      6. Data entry
      7. Provide accurate information to guest in a pleasant and knowledgeable manner
      8. Assist guests in planning their visit
      9. To provide other duties as workload necessitates

      Qualifications :

      1. Superior verbal communication skills essential
      2. Exceptional customer service skills required
      3. Strong interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills
      4. Flexibility in work schedules with the ability to work weekends and holidays
      5. High School Diploma/GED Required
      6. Two years plus demonstrated excellent customer service experience
      7. Previous cash handling experience
      8. Proficiency with ticketing software/data entry systems/point-of-sale systems
