      The salary range for this position is $65.00 - $90.00/hr

      Job Summary & Responsibilities

      QSAC is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist (PT) to work with children and young adults. This opportunity is part-time for 2 days a week at our Douglaston Pre-School.

      The PT will provide treatment and develop, improve and evaluate opportunities for active participation in work, leisure, and play for the students we support. Applicants must have current New York State certifications and or licensure.

      Responsibilities

      Treatment

      • Provides physical therapy to assigned students
      • Evaluates treatment of children with motor impairments
      • Recommends modifications of treatment and approaches to reflect the student’s changing needs
      • Maintains accurate documentation of evaluations, sessions and students’ progress
      • Identifies and plans for instructional activities for on-going implementation in the classroom, based on student IEP’s
      • Collaborates with OT to develop appropriate plans for students being supported

      Communication & Administration

      • Communicates and interacts with other team members, school personnel, and families
      • Maintain and records accurate records and documentation
      • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, attendance, and flexibility, while working cooperatively with Supervisors and other employees

      Qualifications and Work Experience

      • Bachelor’s degree, required
      • NY State Physical Therapist License required
      • Experience working with people with autism highly preferred
      • One to three years’ experience working as a PT in a related school setting, preferred
      • Must be a team player, eager to collaborate and coordinate with parents
