      Job Skills / Requirements

      Working on assigned shifts, you will work part time shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

      Position Details:

      Position: Part-Time Security Guard

      Site: Westmount Mall

      Site Address: 785 Wonderland Road, South, London, ON N6K 3C2

      Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

      Hours: Saturday and Sunday 1500-2300hrs

      Payrate: $ 18.54/hour

      Posting Date: May 9, 2025

      Internal Closing Date: May 16, 2025
      External Closing Date: June 6, 2025


      Key responsibilities:

      • Responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of property, persons and information
      • Tasked with patrolling property on foot
      • Effective communication
      • Monitor CCTV system
      • Respond to calls for service in a timely and urgent manner (may be required to run)
      • Attention to detail
      • Report writing, deploying and collecting equipment such as Radio's and Keys
      • Manage high stress and complex decision making
      • Knowledge and enforcement of Trespass to Property Act (TPA)
      • Enforce mall Code of Conduct in compliance with TPA

      Prerequisites:

      • Valid Security Licence for the province of Ontario
      • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
      • English (oral and written) fluency is a must
      • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
