What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and research incoming healthcare claim calls from providers by navigating multiple computer systems and verifying necessary data for processing
- Ask appropriate questions and actively listen to identify specific questions or issues while documenting information in computer systems
- Communicate and collaborate with providers to resolve issues using clear language to ensure understanding
- Meet performance goals established for the position in efficiency, accuracy, quality, and attendance
- Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Working knowledge of computer and Windows PC applications, with the ability to learn new complex systems
- Availability to work part-time (20-25 hours/week) with flexibility for 5-hour shift schedules during normal business hours
- Ability to maintain a dedicated work area for remote work that ensures information privacy
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1+ years of experience in a related environment (office, administrative, clerical, customer service) using phones and computers as primary job tools
- Previous healthcare experience
