What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Grade weekly discussion posts and biweekly reflection assignments using a provided grading rubric
- Communicate constructive feedback to students on their submissions
- Provide regular status updates to the instructor regarding student progress
- Keep track of assignment extensions and other administrative duties as assigned
- Participate in online meetings with the instructor to discuss grading criteria and address questions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with Canvas learning management system is preferred
- Must undergo applicable background checks, including PA State Police Criminal Background Check and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in an educational support role
- Familiarity with grading rubrics and educational assessment techniques
