- Drives overall profitability for store focusing on total store sales and expense control.
- Manages the stores operations and scheduling; includes scheduling of staff to maximize productivity and ensuring accuracy of Associate time records.
- Lead training and development to enhance performance of Party Shop Associates with recognition efforts to promote performance and retention.
- Coordinate communication amongst team to share company strategy and direction.
- Proactively recruit and interview perspective Party Associate team members.
- Lead new-hire onboarding and ongoing sales associate training and development, as well as continuous coaching.
- Oversees the coordination and execution of store merchandise and presentation standards.
- Receive inventory from the back room and fill planograms and storage areas as needed. Maintain and organize shopping and storage space.
- Order and maintain all required supplies (ribbon, hi-float, balloon bags and clips, helium)
- Maintain relationship with Helium Supplier, monitor Helium inventory, order Helium as required, manage Helium tank delivery, maintain log of tanks used weekly and change over helium tanks when empty (hook up the Helium piping/nozzle).
- Ensures compliance and understanding of all corporate Loss Prevention measures and Human Resources policies/procedures.
- All Party Shop members open the store and close on time and will also perform director on duty (DOD) responsibilities as required.
- Maintain all spaces for best in show presentation, duties that include but are not limited to taking out garbage, sweeping, maintaining stock room etc.
- Role models customer service expectations through personal contact with customers.
- Adheres to all standard Health and Safety operating procedures.
- Flexibility to work weekends and/or evenings.
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extensive periods of time

Here’s where you come in... Walmart Canada has partnered with OSL to operate select locations for Party Shop and we’re growing fast! The Party Shop Lead will be responsible to work with and lead a team of associates to achieve sales and service targets within the Party Shop Department. You will demonstrate operational excellence to our clients while representing the OSL brand in-store. You have a great understanding of sales and customer service fundamentals, with 1-2 years of previous sales & leadership/supervisory experience. You’re also a strong communicator, who can develop a strong sales team, provide clear direction and daily goals to ensure your team is delivering an exceptional customer experience.
