What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Field incoming calls and manage scheduling for patient appointments
- Provide accurate information regarding appointments, directions, and general inquiries
- Adjust master templates and manage physician schedules to accommodate patient needs
- Ensure accurate pre-appointment registration intake, including demographic and insurance information
- Establish expectations related to patient visits, ensuring all necessary pre-visit information is communicated
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting focusing on patient access and registration
- Knowledge of patient access procedures, healthcare regulations, and insurance coverage
- Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and effective communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Experience with enterprise-wide scheduling systems
- Familiarity with the Ideal Patient Experience standards
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Previous role as a Practice Services Representative
