What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage incoming telephone calls and schedule patient appointments using appropriate etiquette and standards
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding appointments, directions, and general information about the practice
- Oversee scheduling of patient appointments and adjust templates to meet clinical necessities
- Collect and update necessary demographic and insurance information for patient registrations
- Establish expectations for patient visits, including financial matters and pre-visit instructions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting focused on patient access and registration
- Knowledge of patient access procedures, healthcare regulations, and insurance coverage
- Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and effective communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree is preferred
- Experience working in a patient-centered environment
- Familiarity with various electronic medical record systems
