What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer incoming telephone calls promptly, adhering to organizational service standards
- Manage calls effectively, responding to inquiries about appointments, directions, and general information
- Schedule patient appointments, adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate patient and physician needs
- Ensure accurate collection of patient registration information prior to appointments
- Provide essential pre-visit information and instructions to patients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting focusing on patient access and registration
- Knowledge of patient access procedures, healthcare regulations, and insurance coverage
- Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and effective communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in a related field
