What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage high-volume incoming calls and patient inquiries via various channels
- Provide exceptional customer service by clarifying caller needs and determining appropriate actions
- Schedule patient appointments according to internal guidelines and physician protocols
- Collect and accurately enter patient demographic information into the system
- Verify patient insurance information and ensure participation with their insurance plan
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent highly preferred; applicable work experience may substitute
- 1-3 years of applicable work experience, preferably in a call center, appointment scheduling, customer service, or medical office setting
- Experience handling inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment
- Demonstrated customer service experience with a focus on healthcare industry knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and promote teamwork and collaboration
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2-4 years of applicable work experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of physician, clinical, and business processes within the healthcare industry
- Proven ability to maintain excellent customer service relationships with various stakeholders
