What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Register new patients by obtaining demographics, insurance information, and source of referral
- Handle scheduling requests according to physician and authorization protocols
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Update patient information from prior visits as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience with registration, scheduling, and healthcare benefits is helpful
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and handle high call volumes
- Proficient in a Windows-based computer environment with good typing skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a call center environment
- Familiarity with orthopedic care procedures and protocols
