What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Consistently practice a Patients First philosophy and uphold high standards of customer service
- Interact with various hospital departments and physicians' offices to schedule and direct patients effectively
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Conduct medical necessity checks and communicate appointment options to patients
- Participate in Quality Assurance reviews to ensure the integrity of patient data
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of customer service or medical office experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer data entry and typing (minimum 40 wpm)
- Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional education or language skills
- Experience in healthcare finance and/or healthcare insurance
- Knowledge of patient scheduling and registration in a healthcare setting
