What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Practice a patient-first philosophy and uphold high standards of customer service
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA regulations
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow through the healthcare system
- Perform medical necessity checks and provide out-of-pocket estimations for patients
- Participate in quality assurance reviews to ensure the integrity of patient data
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of customer service or medical office experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer data-entry and typing at a minimum of 40 words per minute
- Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional education or training in a relevant field
- Additional language skills
- Experience in healthcare finance and/or healthcare insurance
- Familiarity with patient scheduling and registration processes in a healthcare setting
