What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a positive first impression
- Collect and verify patient demographic information in accordance with organizational standards
- Schedule appointments and perform medical necessity checks for scheduled services
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding insurance referrals and consultations
- Participate in quality assurance reviews to ensure the integrity of patient data
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of customer service or medical office experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer data entry and typing at a rate of 40 wpm
- Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional education or training in a healthcare-related field
- Proficiency in additional languages
- Experience in healthcare finance and/or healthcare insurance
- Familiarity with patient scheduling and registration processes in a healthcare setting
