What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Consistently practice the Patients First philosophy and deliver high standards of customer service
- Respond to patient questions and concerns while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA regulations
- Schedule appointments and interact with various hospital departments to ensure smooth patient flow
- Perform medical necessity checks and provide financial information to patients as needed
- Participate in quality assurance reviews to uphold the integrity of patient data
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of customer service or medical office experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer data entry and typing, with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
- Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional education or language skills
- Experience in healthcare finance or insurance
- Knowledge of patient scheduling and registration processes in a healthcare setting
