What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist physicians, hospitals, and patients with prior authorization and appeal management for renal denervation technology
- Validate patient insurance coverage and benefits, and initiate prior authorization as needed
- Coordinate required paperwork and clinical notes for timely submission
- Follow up with payers to ensure visibility on authorization status, and relay updates to stakeholders
- Write persuasive appeal letters to address payer objections based on provider documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in case management, prior authorization, or utilization review
- Understanding of healthcare payment processes, reimbursement, and coverage issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, including documentation and prioritizing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Clinical nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with employer reimbursement policies and procedures
- Proven relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to learn and utilize multiple CRM software programs
- High degree of initiative and self-motivation
