- The Patient Advocate is responsible to plan, organize, and implement financial counseling services to patients and families.
- Responsible to screen patients to determine potential for program assistance, complete application with patient and families, and follow up after discharge regarding application.
- Maintain knowledge base of community agencies and resource to facilitate appropriate referrals, including maintaining a thorough understanding of eligibility requirements and current laws governing government programs, including Medicaid, specifically South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska.
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, healthcare business, or social work preferred.
- Two years experience in healthcare and insurance verification preferred.
- PRN, as needed
- $20.50 - $25.75 per hour
