What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage incoming referrals and schedule appointments for a clinical department in a call center environment
- Navigate multiple systems to effectively schedule appointments, tests, and procedures according to established protocols
- Engage patients in the scheduling process, collecting relevant demographic and medical information
- Create and manage referrals in the referral work queue, ensuring accurate updates within prescribed timeframes
- Communicate effectively through written, digital, and verbal channels with patients and care teams
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Five years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a call center, physician's office, or retail/service industry
- Ability to manage difficult and emotional situations while maintaining positive communication
- Strong keyboarding and computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and remain calm under stress
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a call center environment is preferred
- Bachelor's degree accepted in lieu of minimum experience
