What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process claims, appeals, and denials in a timely and accurate manner
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and correct accounts within the system
- Communicate with various insurances and third-party payors to ensure proper authorization
- Analyze and resolve claim issues by applying relevant regulations and guidelines
- Participate in team meetings to discuss denial trends and suggest workflow improvements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, claims, or insurance processing
- Extensive knowledge of insurance claim submission requirements and denial reason codes
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) operating systems
- Strong attention to detail and quality output
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Related Associate degree or medical billing certification
- 4+ years of experience in the medical or insurance billing field
- Familiarity with Epic or other EHR applications
