What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls from patients, health systems, and insurance carriers to resolve account inquiries and collect payments
- Utilize effective negotiation and customer service skills to attain payments for outstanding patient accounts
- Accurately document the status of collection efforts in company systems
- Research alternative insurance or payment options while navigating multiple patient accounting systems
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines to protect patient privacy
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a related role, including at least 1 year in an inbound/outbound call center environment
- Strong working knowledge of the healthcare reimbursement process
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
