What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze events in the RLDatix system to identify trends and quality of care concerns
- Engage in professional communication with medical staff regarding patient safety events
- Support investigations of adverse and sentinel events as assigned
- Facilitate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and track action items
- Present findings to the Adverse Events Committee and collaborate with the safety team
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Clinical Healthcare Degree (BSN, RT, PT, OT, SLP) or Bachelor's Degree in a clinical field
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including 1 year in Quality, Risk, or Patient Safety
- CPHQ or CPPS certification within 1 year of hire
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare discipline
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EPIC)
- Experience as an adult educator or public speaker
- Active certifications in Patient Safety, Healthcare Quality, or Healthcare Risk Management
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
