What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide a positive patient experience by registering patients and families
- Gather complete and accurate demographic and insurance information
- Verify patients’ insurance coverage and benefits using various tools
- Communicate and collect out-of-pocket liability from patients at the time of service
- Rotate assignments to various points of service areas within Patient Access
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's degree in healthcare or business administration preferred
- Minimum 3 years of customer service experience in customer-facing roles
- Familiarity with healthcare EHR applications (e.g., EPIC, Cerner)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital, physician practice, or related healthcare environment
- Prior registration experience in an Emergency Department preferred
- Current experience as a Jefferson Seamless Access Representative with at least 1 year in the role
