What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Post insurance payments to patient accounts using Explanations of Benefits (EOB)
- Manually extract and read information from EOBs to ensure accurate posting
- Post patient payments received via check and credit card transactions
- Work to meet daily, weekly, and monthly posting goals
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in payment postings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to read and interpret Explanations of Benefits (EOBs)
- Experience in payment processing or related field preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in healthcare billing or revenue cycle management
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes
- Proficiency in using payment processing software
